Welcome to the blog for "Flunked"

Education in America is on the decline. That doesn't mean we have to sit back and take it. Teachers in districts all across the country—even in more "challenging" districts—have found a way to make things work, right now.

Go to our website. Watch the trailer. Get involved.

Welcome to the solution.

I have not seen your movie yet. I do not know what solutions you are offering or your strategy but I support your premise – flunked, education and citizenry. In my option both in education and as free people in the first free nations that time has suffered to bring on this earth, it is time to dismantle the Iron Clad hold of Statism on our "public education system." It is 180 degrees opposite of the ideas of freedom that all human history has aspired, died and dreamed of to have the state in any form control education of the citizens in a land purported to be a free people. Government involvement in education is an oxymoron to a free society and a happy and prosperous people – doesn’t anyone care about historical facts. Read Thomas Sowell – actually read everything he has written in the last 8 years if you’re courageous enough. Freedom requires that those people, who dare to say they are free, be willing to pay for the education of their own by what ever mechanism their mutually agree too. The idea of free public education is abysmal distortion of public perception of the facts. We spend on a national average 10 to 13 thousand per child in K-12 in public education. I will tell you that people who take that amount out of their pay checks voluntarily to education their children would get results. This is like a 100,000 car. What would you expect if you spent that much money? Does it not just blow you mind that the government spends that much of your money (un-voluntary) and gets some of the worst result in the world and runs school where you go through metal detectors and pick of you condoms at the door, you can only follow directions if there in picture form! You are in for the fight of your life to get schools back to the ground of freedom as existed in early America. The founding ideas of education was Classic Liberalism...learn to read and write by studying classic proven truths of history (known as the study of “truth, beauty and goodness”) to protect your freedoms first, learn skills second and know a wolf in sheep’s clothing from a mile away. Crush the government and the unions grip on education without mercy, because that is what they have been doing to our children and our freedom for 40 years now! Do it and in 40 years we will again be a light to all the world. 1, Make laws requiring a parent be involved in their children’s education by setting minimum time to show up and sit in a class room if their kids are using public money for education (say 3 hours per month at will) - this alone would change the environment in public school just by creating a natural peer/parent real world atmosphere. 2 Support any form of accountability by supporting vouchers, charter schools, virtual schools, home schools, private (secular or religious) and so on. 3 Remove teacher certification regulations and reform (if not kill) tenure, it is a tool of government and unions to control only, obviously it has no proven results, - accountability to student success will make the cream rise to the top. 4 Listen to yourself, educate yourself, and learn what it means to be a free man or woman. 5 Restore the Republican and Democratic parties to freedom fighting groups, take no hand outs and if you do, pay your neighbor back (or give’m a big hug of thanks) because it’s their money in the first place – be a Cinderella man! Lastly, teach children and adults that getting you feeling hurt goes with growing up and goes hand in hand with self discipline and the pursuit of happiness and good citizenship.
